El Bosquil Estate

El Bosquil Garnacha

An 8 hectare estate where Red Grenache grapes are grown. Half of the grapes are goblet trained and the other half are trained on a trellis system.

The soil is sandy loam with many stones, which makes it a soil with very good drainage and good management of plant nutrients. It is also rather poor in organic matter, so the plants vegetative development is going to be limited.

It has a North-South orientation to optimise efficiency in the capture of sunlight.

The average age of the vineyard is 55 years. There is an area that is more than 70 years old.

This soil and age provide the best conditions for Grenache grapes to express their potential and personality, generating wines in which the concept of the “terroir” is fully present.
