Los Quemaos Estate

Los Quemaos Estate

Three fields where White Tempranillo grapes are grown. The three fields as a whole have a total surface area of 10 hectares.

The soil is clay loam with stone and gravel areas that facilitate drainage.

The plots of land are 500 meters above sea level; ideal for white grapes to have an excellent aromatic composition.

White Tempranillo was the result of a natural mutation in Red Tempranillo grapes which changed the gene that encodes the grape´s skin colour. Later on, by means of natural propagation, a variety that is unique in the world and native to La Rioja was successfully selected.

The resulting wine is straw-white and its aromas are very intense in the tropical range. Its palate is very complex and fatty, which turns it into a special, unique wine.
